A wonderful large late 18th/early 19th century regency painting - oil on canvas with a thick patterned blue paper to reverse (shown in last photo)

I think this is a depiction of Aphrodite and Eros

Eros blue sash has almost certainly been overpainted (probably in the late 19th century the Victorian’s known for their prudishness)
