17th Century Portrait

Exceptional mid 17th century portrait of a very beautiful and elegant lady - wearing jewels and dress typical of the period - sadly the sitter is unknown - this superb quality painting is in the style of Sir Godfrey Kneller who succeeded Sir Peter Levy court painter to Charles

II - being unsigned we can only attribute to 'the circle of' - in excellent condition including the period high quality ebonised wood with gilded decoration frame
